CHSD 170 is helping families get ready for the 2025-26 school year with Health Clinic Days this spring! 🩺💫
In partnership with Jewel-Osco, vaccination clinics will be available at Chicago Heights Middle School on May 9, May 23, and June 6, with appointments from 9:00am to 1:00pm each day.
Families can use this opportunity to help students stay up to date on required and recommended immunizations, especially incoming kindergarteners and 6th-grade students.
Parents and guardians should bring their child’s insurance card. A parent or guardian must be present or provide consent for their child to receive vaccinations. ✅

Earth Day Celebrations at Greenbriar School! ♻️🌎
Greenbriar students celebrated Earth Day with creativity, innovation, and school spirit! Our 4th graders designed and built their own interactive games using recyclable and reusable materials, then hosted a fun-filled Game Day to share their creations. 🎮♻️
3rd graders also showcased their creativity through special recycled animal projects, turning everyday materials into imaginative works of art. 🐢🦋
To continue a beloved Greenbriar tradition, students proudly created and wore their annual Earth Day T-shirts on April 22 to honor and celebrate our planet.
A wonderful way to promote sustainability, creativity, and environmental awareness! 💙💚

Interested in cross country this fall? Join us for our fall meeting on Monday, August 25! 🏃
Meet Coaches Chris Murphy and Mallory Burke to kick off the season. Cross country is open to all 6th-8th grade students, with no prior experience necessary to runa and have fun.
The meeting will take place from 2:30 to 4:30pm in the Cafetorium at CHMS. The activity bus will be available at 4:30pm. 🚌

This is critical professional learning taking place before the school year begins!

Now is a great time to start easing back into school-year routines. Try shifting bedtimes and wakeup times a little earlier each day to help kids adjust. Consistent sleep makes those early mornings easier—and sets everyone up for a strong start. 💪
