Chicago Heights School District 170 will implement changes to the student registration process for the 2026–2027 school year. The District will transition to using CLEAR, which uses publicly available information to verify parent/guardian names and addresses. This enhanced process will make registration easier and more convenient for families while ensuring that enrolled students reside within District boundaries.

RETURNING STUDENTS FOR GRADES 1-5 AND 7-8

Online registration should be submitted through your existing TeacherEase account. Contact your child’s attending school if you need assistance accessing your account.

If your residency is successfully verified through CLEAR, no additional residency documentation will be required.

If your residency cannot be verified through CLEAR, you will be notified to submit proof of residency documentation to the appropriate address listed below. Be sure to include your child’s name, grade level, and attending school in the subject line of your email.

RETURNING STUDENTS ENTERING GRADES KINDERGARTEN AND 6

All returning students entering Kindergarten and 6th grade will be required to register in person and provide proof of residency, immunization/physical records, and birth certificate (Kindergarten only).

• Open registration - Kindergarten and 6th grade ONLY

• April 27 & 28, 2026

• Chicago Heights Middle School, 1020 Dixie Hwy, Door 3

• If your student has all required vaccinations and physicals, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

• If your student requires vaccinations, the clinic will be onsite, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

NEW STUDENTS

All new student registration will be by appointment only. Please use this link to select an appointment date and time. Please arrive on time and be sure to bring all required documentation. Refer to the New and Transfer Enrollment Guide for information and if your child is enrolling in Kindergarten, 2nd or 6th grade, please refer to the posted Health Requirements by Grade, for additional requirements.
