Grant School’s PTO recently held an “October Fest” celebration to promote positive relations between the school, its students, their parents, and the school’s service community.

Teachers, school staff and members of the Parent Teacher Organization worked together to provide activities and events for the celebration.

"Tonight's event was a great success!” said PTO President Samara Lloyd.

“I was thrilled to see the number of people who visited our school and feel that it showcased the successful effort on the part of the PTO in bringing families together and helping them feel that they are a part our school."

Spearheaded by the PTO, the event utilized the talents of many members of the school family in creating an event that was fun, but that also stressed the importance of families in ensuring academic success.

“We are thankful for the efforts of the Grant School PTO in creating such a joyous and important event that celebrated the importance of family in helping our students in achieving academic accomplishment,” said Principal Marco Pellillo.

“With the ongoing support of the PTO, our terrific staff, our wonderful students and their parents and families our school will continue to serve as a centerpiece of our neighborhood.”

Justin Opiola, a teacher and member of the school’s Leadership Team added, "The October Fest was awesome!”

“Our turnout was one of the best ever for any event we’ve held here at Grant and it’s been “Grant-tastic” seeing the school's PTO promote sublime events like this over the past three years."
