christmas performance at garfield school

The students of the third- and fifth-grade classes at CHSD170's Garfield School recently celebrated the season by presenting Teresa Jennings' "The Incredible Reindeer" in a winter concert program that was well-attended by the school's staff, and parents and family members of the students.

The production, directed by Music teacher Laura Angellotti, told the story of Santa Claus facing a trip on a foggy Christmas Eve without his trusty Rudolph (out with a bad cold) and with an asteroid destined to collide with the North Pole. Just when things seem darkest, however, Santa's Incredible Reindeer use their superpowers to overcome the deadly challenge of the asteroid saving the North Pole while one of the reindeer, Robo Guy, uses his bionic power beam to guide Santa's sleigh through the dense fog and save Christmas.

Songs performed by the students included Happy Christmas Eve, Foggy Foggy Night, What We Need Is a Miracle, The Incredible Mission, and A Super Celebration.

"Every year our students look forward to presenting a program that their parents, family, and friends will enjoy and with the help of the wonderful staff of Garfield School they were able to do just that," Angellotti said.
