Several representatives from the Chicago Heights Masons St. Rest Lodge #5 recently visited Chicago Heights School District 170's Lincoln-Gavin School to provide 60 coats to students in need.

St. Rest Lodge #5 Master Cornelius Deere, Treasurer Jack Whetstone, and Secretary Robert Miller joined with school principal Cara Pastere in distributing the coats.

"This activity continues our lodge's commitment to helping out the students at Lincoln –Gavin School who are in need of warm coats for the winter," Deere said.

"Our lodge will continue to honor our pledge to do everything possible to help the students of our community in any way that we can."

The presentation of the coats was made in the school's library and focused on children in the primary grades.

"We are most thankful for the ongoing efforts of the Chicago Heights Mason's St. Rest Lodge #5 that benefit our students in a variety of ways," Pastere said.

"Whether providing academic supplies, coats, or monetary support, the lodge has been a excellent partner for our school, our students, and our service community," she concluded
