Subway presenting a check

Wilson Middle School science teacher Joe Frieders was presented with a $300 grant from the local Subway owner, Ambalal Patel and Fresh Films/Dreaming Tree Films, a local Chicago organization that provides middle and high school students with hands-on tech experience to show the benefit of STEM-related activities. The grant will be used to purchase materials for the Wilson Warrior Robotics program so his students can build on their skills and be able to compete in quality robotics competitions on the local and state level.

Across the region – and the country – Subway franchise owners are actively engaged in the communities they serve. Most recently, Subway in Greater Chicagoland and NW Indiana partnered with Fresh Films/Dreaming Tree Films, and through the partnership, Subway is awarding $300 grants to teachers across the Chicagoland area to support student participation in the program.
