The Chicago Heights School District 170 Education Foundation is conducting its fifth annual golf outing on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at University Park Golf Club, 23520 Crawford Avenue, Park Forest, Illinois.

Registration for the event, which will be played using a “Scramble” format, begins at 9:30 a.m. Play will kick-off with a “shotgun start” scheduled for 11:00 a.m.

The cost for the outing is $90 per player, and includes golf, drinks, lunch, dinner, and prizes. Dinner packages also are available at a cost of $25 per person.

The money raised at the golf outing is used to underwrite special projects within the district. In the past, the foundation has provided funding for teacher and staff projects, supplemental learning opportunities for students, and meetings and activities serving the citizens of the district’s service communities.

“As is stated in our mission statement, our goal is to enrich the opportunities and experiences of our students and their families,” said Mary Kay Entsminger, President of theCHSD SD170 Education Foundation.

“With the support of our alumni, families and friends, and through a series of fun, exciting special events like the golf outing, we are raising much needed incremental financial support to provide a variety of scholarships, grants and enhanced learning opportunities for all.”

Anyone interested in participating in the golf outing may register and pay on line at, or call the school district at 708 756-4165 for more information.
